写真冊子DOTOには2016年2月から2019年12月までの道東が記録されている。つまり2010年代後半の北海道東部の記録だ。
もちろん道東のほんの一部しか写っていない。でもそれでいいと思っている。
人は見たいものだけ見ようとするし、撮りたいものにむかってシャッターを押す。
写真の原動力は欲望。
僕は欲を満たすために道東へ来たのだ。
2020年、4年間暮らした網走を離れ札幌へ。まだ北海道に縁があるようだ。
北の風に吹かれ、僕の写真はまだまだ続く。

The photo booklet DOTO captures the Doto area from February of 2016 to December 2019. In other words, it's a record of the East area of Hokkaido in the latter half of the 2010's.
Only a small part of Doto is photographed, of course. But to me, that's fine as it is.
People attempt to see only what they want to see, and press the shutter in the direction of the things they want to photograph.
The motivating force behind photographs is desire.
I came to Doto to fulfill my desires.
In 2020, I moved to Sapporo from Abashiri, where I'd lived for four years. It seems fate still calls me to Hokkaido.
Blown by the north wind, I'll continue to shoot photographs.
